Who can join?
Membership is open to gay and bisexual men over the age of 18 who share our interest in leather, motorbikes, uniforms, boots, denim and skinhead gear. Currently, membership costs £17 per year, renewable in January. You can save this many times over from the discounts available to ECMC members (see below). Although we are based in London, we have many out of town members too and these are just as welcome.
New members join as recruits and pay the recruit fee, currently £8, before full membership is offered. This is a sort of cooling off period for both us and you. Normally, full membership is given after you have shown some commitment to the club by attending at least three of its regular club meetings or special events. You will then need to provide two standard passport-style photographs of yourself, one of which is affixed to your ECMC membership card and one is kept for club records.
The benefits of membership
Full membership confers many benefits. You will be able to attend the ECMC events organised by any of our fellow UK and European clubs at the members’ rate. This can be an excellent way to get to travel throughout Europe, meet some great guys and have fun. Often, some accommodation, allocated on a first come, first served basis, is provided by the hosting club and all you have to pay for is the event fee, your travel and incidental expenses.
Many commercial venues in the UK and Europe offer discounted entry to ECMC members. The venue with which we have the closest links is The Hoist and this admits MSC London members at half the normal admission price. In addition, many shops give us discounts. In London, these include Fetish Freak, Expectations, RoB, Clone Zone and Fettered Pleasures. You can easily save many times your MSC London subscription from these discounts.
